COST: $400* Estimated ($100 Deposit only due April 5th), Balance due June 1st

AGES: 12-19 (Players will be grouped by age and level)

TEAMS: 18U, 16U, 14U

 

Cost:

The total cost for this tourney is dependent on how many players are on a team and donations raised. The final cost will range between $350-$500 Includes: Tourney, Lodging and Coaching (Does not include food expense). This final cost will be announced by June 15.

April 1: $100 (Refundable)

June 1: $150 (Not refundable)

June 15: $150 (Not refundable)

 

Refund Policy: Deposits are fully refundable if requested by June 1.

 

The Festival in Phoenix, AZ is one of the largest volleyball tournaments in the country and it takes place in the middle of downtown Phoenix in late June. It features some of the best teams from clubs all over the country. There is an opening night party with music and dancing followed by 4 days of play. We typically drive and are planning to leave the morning of June 25th and return on the evening of June 29th. Transportation will be provided via carpooling and donated vehicles including large passenger vans. Players of course can opt to travel with their own families.

 

Daily Pass:

Please note that when you attend the tourney, there is a fee to enter daily for non-players. The festival does sale 4 day passes that are slightly discounted. We will provide a link to purchase those in advance. It will prevent you from having to stand in lines on tourney day.

Who Can Attend: 

Elevate players ages 12-19. Families are of course encouraged to attend, however parent's attendance is not required. Note: Our coaches and volunteer parents will be chaperoning and supervising. 

 

How Teams Are Formed:

All travel tourneys are age-based (U18, U16, U15, U14, etc.). Therefore, teams will be formed by consolidating interested players from all of our current Elevate teams into teams based on their ages. We are currently planning to field 2-3 teams in the following age brackets: U18, U17, U16, U15, U14. Ideally, each team roster will be between 10-14 players. 

Note: Players can play above their age, but they cannot play BELOW their age. 

Meet Your Team Day:

Meet your Team Day for the Arizona Festival Tourney is tentatively scheduled for Sat 5/23 11am-1pm at the EFCC gym. Coaches will reconfirm these times/days/locations with you in the coming weeks.

Practices: 

Travel Tourney Practices will begin the week of May 26-31, after the conclusion of our local season. We will practice for 4 weeks in preparation for the tourney. Dates/Times are TBD and will be announced by coaches in the coming weeks.

Transportation:

Carpool Caravan - We will assist all players with finding a carpool to join.

 

Lodging:

This is a STAY & PLAY event, which means that in order to play in the tourney, we are required to stay the partner hotels. In order to secure these hotels, we must reserve early and therefore require a $100 deposit by April 1. If we DO NOT take a team, your deposit will be refunded. We typically group players together in team rooms that are chaperoned. Players are welcome to stay in rooms with their families, however, tourney fees will not change.

Financial Aid:

We typically have fundraisers (like the Elevate Dance) and sometimes are blessed with donations of cash, transportation or housing. These help substantially lower our final costs for our families. Affordability and accessibility are at the heart of our club mission. We want to provide an opportunity for every athlete who wants to play regardless of finances.
